Potential campers are required to fill out an application including personal and bereavement information and participate in an interview with ChristianWorks staff. We review each application in detail. This helps our staff ensure the best possible experience for every camper. Due to the large number of applicants, campers are selected on a first come, first serve basis. After all camper spots have been filled, potential campers are added to a waiting list in the order the applications were received.

What does the interview entail?

Family interviews are conducted at the ChristianWorks Dallas office, unless the applicant lives over 100 miles away in which case a phone interview will be scheduled. There are four pre-scheduled meeting opportunities when campers and their family can sign up for an interview conducted by our clinical staff. Each interview is usually 30 minutes. During this time, families are required to submit the second set of paperwork to ensure the camper’s spot.

What activities are offered at camp?

At Camp Erin, we like to have fun! This is why we provide a variety of activities for all interests and personalities including games, boating, swimming, sharing, arts and crafts, sports, music, luminaries, and more.

Who provides bereavement care for the campers?

Camp Erin is staffed by licensed professional counselors from CounselingWorks along with trained volunteers.
