Larry has two Masters Degrees, one in Biblical Studies from Abilene Christian University and the other in Counseling from Amberton University. He received his Bachelors Degree from Baylor University in Oral Communications. He is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. He has been approved by the state of Texas as a supervisor for LPC interns. Also he has received certification in Thanatology (the study of death, dying and bereavement) by the Association for Death Education and Counseling. Larry has been certified in the Studies on Death and Grief through the Center for Loss and Life Transition and Colorado State University. His studies for the certification were under the supervision of internationally known grief author, educator and counselor Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph.D.

Angela received her Bachelor of Business Administration/Accounting degree from Jarvis Christian College and she has two Masters Degrees in School and Professional Counseling from Amberton University. Angela works as a Bilingual School Counselor in an elementary school and assists higher grade schools as needed; she's a former Head Start/Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher. Angela also provides counseling services for families, individuals, children/teens and couples, and serves as a KIDWorks (divorce groups) facilitator for parents and their children. Angela volunteers as a Crime Victim Responder Counselor for Victim Relief Ministries in conjunction with the Dallas Police Department and she is an active member, volunteer and missioner at her church.

Adoption Triad Specialist
Melanie Chung-Sherman, MSSW, LCSW, LCPAA has been working in the field of child welfare since 1999. She is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed child placing administrator with the State of Texas who specialized experience in adoption and foster care related issues serving all members of the adoption/foster care triad including: international and transracial/transcultural adoptions, and adoption and foster care dynamics through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Melanie is also an associate professor of social work through Collin County College and a columnist for popular magazine: Adoption Today.
Gary earned two Masters Degrees, one in Biblical Studies from Abilene Christian University and another in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University. He has over 21 years experience with adolescents, families, college students, singles and single-parent families in churches, schools, community centers, psychiatric settings, Christian camps, and urban relief centers. Gary led groups providing relief for persons experiencing disadvantages, trauma, abuse, neglect, abandonment, the fatherless, various crises, and other "wounds" of life. He is a mentor, teacher and speaker to groups, addressing many ministry and service issues. He co-authored a youth ministry textbook for Abilene Christian University, with his primary focus the counseling of teenagers. He serves as the professional counselor on-site for attendees at the annual National Conference on Youth Ministries. Gary served as the youth and family minister for two years with the Mayfair Church of Christ (Oklahoma City, OK) and seventeen years with the A&M Church of Christ (College Station, TX). He currently serves as the singles minister with the Prestoncrest Church of Christ (Dallas, TX). Gary has been approved by the state of Texas as a supervisor for LPC interns.
Program Coordinator, GriefWorks
Kim received a Bachelor of Psychology and Interpersonal Communications from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. After spending time in the Middle East and then as a youth director, she completed a Masters in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary.
Prior to joining ChristianWorks, she worked in a variety of settings including an in-patient trauma hospital, a family advocacy center, and still works with Dallas Theological Seminary as a counselor. She also travels internationally to train counselors in the areas of grief and trauma. Kim provides counseling for individuals as well as couples. She is also the program coordinator for the GriefWorks program where she oversees the curriculum used in GriefWorks and recruits and trains facilitators.
Chris was born and raised here in Dallas. His blood runs maroon and white after having earned his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, and is very passionate about his Aggies. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling degree. Chris has worked with youth in a number of ministry settings, including Pine Cove Christian Camps, T Bar M Camps, and YoungLife. In addition to the counseling he provides at CounselingWorks, Chris has worked for DTS providing counseling services to masters students, and in clinical settings doing crisis assessment. He is passionate about relationships. He loves working with couples to prepare for marriage, as well as those who have encountered roadblocks and potholes in marriage. He is certified in the PREPARE/ENRICH premarital curriculum. He also enjoys counseling individual adults and teenagers. Chris married his wife Elizabeth in 2009, and they are expecting their first child.

Michele is a licensed professional counselor with over 11 years of experience counseling children, adolescents, couples and families. She received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. She received both her Master's Degree in Agency Counseling and her Specialist Degree in Professional Counseling from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Michele is currently working on her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Prior to joining Christian Works, she provided counseling for at-risk youth ages 6-18, many of which were in the juvenile justice system. Michele has worked in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health agencies, and Christian Counseling Centers. Michele has done extensive work with victims of abuse; depression/anxiety; grief/loss; co-dependency; women's issues; relationship issues; teen challenges and anger management.
Benjamin F. Myers has served as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern (LPC-I) at ChristianWorks for Children for over a year. He has also served as an Associate Minister with the Greenville Avenue Church of Christ in Richardson, Texas for twenty-six years. His main focus has been on outreach, teaching, leadership development, and counseling. Ben worked to develop a Family Life Ministry (FML) outreach that displays the love of Christ while offering support to members and non-members facing the challenges of life. This ministry provides for various support and self-help groups, pre-marriage, and marriage counseling. Ben is also a Chaplin for Victim Relief Ministry. This organization works closely with local police departments to assist crime victims and their families. He spearheaded the establishing of the Greenville Avenue Bible Institute that provides members access to biblical courses offered through Sunset International Bible Institute. Ben has a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics, M.A.'s in Management and Human Relations, Divinity, and Professional Counseling, and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Counseling. Ben is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern (LPC-I). He graduated from the Sunset International Bible Institute and the Sunset International School of Missions. Ben has served as a minister for churches in West and South Texas. He has also worked in senior management positions with cutting-edge technology companies and major corporations. Ben has served in the U.S. Air Force. His wife, Carolyn Renee', is an elementary school teacher and they have two children, a son and a daughter.
Rita received her Bachelors Degree in the area of Human Development and Psychological Studies from the State University of New York at Albany. She completed her Masters Degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Rita has counseled missionaries overseas and Latin American families in Ecuador and Guatemala while serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators. She has been a trainer in the Townsend Institute of International Relations and currently facilitates groups in anger management and couple relations as well as GriefWorks. She is trained in healing the wounds of trauma and volunteers at Irving Family Advocacy Center. Rita provides counseling for individuals, couples and families as well as play therapy for children.
Scott holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. Since graduating in 1991, Scott has worked in a variety of clinical settings including a variety of youth and adolescent treatment programs, schools and family counseling settings. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose specialties include Marital and Family counseling, Interpersonal issues such as anxiety, depression, and impulse control issues, and working with groups to improve interpersonal and coping skills. Scott has been married since 1998 and is currently raising 2 teenage step-children. He attends church in the Allen area where he and his family live.
Heather received her Bachelor of Psychology degree from California State University, Northridge. A few years later she completed her Masters degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Phillips Graduate Institute. Heather worked for Children's Bureau of Southern California in the Children's Day Treatment Program before joining the clinical staff providing counseling for at risk youth and their families. Heather provides private counseling to children, couples and families.
Lauren received her Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University and her Masters in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2005. Prior to coming to CounselingWorks, Lauren served in youth ministry with teenage girls and families in Charlotte, NC for 4 years. Her experience working with students and their families led her back to Texas to pursue her professional licensure. She has worked for several non-profits offering counseling to teens and adults who are vicitms of crimes as well as a Christian counseling center in Richardson. She is a GriefWorks facilitator and volunteers with the youth group at her church.

Director, Camp Erin – Dallas / Fort Worth
Kristina received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Reading Specialization and Early Childhood Endorsement from Abilene Christian University. A few years later she completed two Masters degrees in School and Professional Counseling from Amberton University. Prior to joining ChristianWorks for Children, she taught both first and third grades for the Frenship and Mesquite school districts. Kristina provides play therapy to children and adolescents ages 2-12 as well as private counseling to teens, individuals, couples, and families. She is certified to use the Prepare-Enrich Program for premarital and marital couples counseling. Kristina is a GriefWorks facilitator and is also the coordinator for the CounselingWorks program where she schedules appointments with professionals in CounselingWorks for individuals needing private counseling services. Kristina serves as Director of Camp Erin Dallas – Fort Worth. Camp Erin is a weekend-long experience for children and teens who have experienced the death of someone close to them. It is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education, peer bonding, and emotional support.

Angela obtuvo su título profesional como Administradora de Empresas y Contaduría de la Universidad Jarvis Christian College y dos títulos Post-grado en Consejería Escolar y Profesional de la Universidad Amberton. Angela trabaja como Consejera Bilingue Escolar en una escuela primaria y asiste a las escuelas secundarias en determinadas ocasiones; anteriormente ella fué maestra de Pre-Kínder y Kínder por varios años. Actualmente Angela ofrece servicios de consejería para familias, personas, niños/adolescentes y parejas, y dirige grupos de divorcio (KidWorks) para padres e hijos. Angela es voluntaria del Ministerio para el Alivio de Victimas (Victim Relief Ministries) en conjunto con el Departamento de Policía de Dallas como Consejera de Víctimas del Crímen y además ella es miembro activo en su iglesia como voluntaria y misionera.
